Preprocedure: No pre-treatment hormones are required and the procedure can be performed at any time during a woman's cycle. Under general or local anesthesia an electrode is placed thru the cervix and a radio frequency energy removes the lining of the uterus(endometrium).
Postprocedure: Most women are able to resume normal activities in a couple of days. This procedure results with most women experiencing light menses and in some women total cessation of menses occurs. 50% of women stop having menses. 40% have improved the menses.
